Terms of Service

Mapier Persona is provided by Mapier. You may use it to run surveys for your own business or for a client you represent, and you are responsible for everything done in your workspace.

• You sign in with your work email or Google. Keep access to that account to yourself; anyone who signs in as you acts for your workspace.
• You pay for each survey from your workspace balance. Funds are reserved when a survey launches, each approved response is charged against that reserve, and whatever a survey does not spend returns to your balance when it ends. The prices you see before you launch are the prices you pay.
• Every survey is checked before it goes live, and we may decline, pause or end a survey that breaks the Acceptable Use policy. Money held for a survey that never runs returns to your balance.
• Respondents are adults in the United States who chose to receive survey texts through a partner research panel. We do not guarantee how many will answer or how quickly, and the fill-time estimates in the console are estimates.
• You may stop using Persona at any time. You may withdraw your available balance or delete your workspace from Settings; reserved funds and open reports must settle first.
• Persona is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Mapier is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
• We may change these terms. A change is published here as a new version, and you accept it before your next launch.

Acceptable Use

Surveys reach real people on their own phones, so what you send has to be fit to send. You may not:

• ask for a respondent's name, contact details, account numbers or other identifying information;
• include links, attachments, or instructions to visit a site, call a number or download anything;
• target or screen people by health, religion, race or ethnicity, sexual orientation or political views;
• send content that is sexual, hateful, harassing, threatening, deceptive, or that promotes anything illegal;
• use a survey to sell, recruit, fundraise or campaign, or disguise a survey as anything else;
• try to get around the console's limits, its review, or the opt-out a respondent can use at any time.

Data Use

You receive answers, never people. Responses are linked to an anonymous respondent ID, and phone numbers are never shared with you. In return, you agree that you will not:

• attempt to re-identify a respondent, alone or by combining responses with any other data;
• re-contact a respondent outside Persona, or ask one to contact you;
• resell, license or publish response data as a dataset.

You may use the results for your own research and share them inside your organization, including through a read-only results link. Responses are kept for as long as your workspace's data settings say, and deleted with your workspace.
